Thanks to recent enhancements in the tech giant’s Business Connect tools, businesses can now provide Apple users with more information. From more details in Apple Maps to features that enhance customer engagement, this latest expansion helps companies establish stronger brands and build more customer trust.

As Apple expands Business Connect tools, all enterprises (including those that only operate online) can use simple, intuitive developer tools to improve their online presence. Learn more below.

What Does Business Connect Offer?

Apple launched Business Connect in 2023 as a way for businesses to improve their Apple Maps profile. Using the simple interface, business owners could easily add photos and logos to their location cards in Maps, making it easy for customers to schedule appointments, make reservations, order products, and more from the Maps listing. Essentially, this self-service feature is Apple’s answer to Google My Business and gives entrepreneurs another channel for promotion.

Business Connect also provides businesses with enhanced analytics that help them understand how customers find them and what they do once they do.

The New Developments for Business Owners

Apple expands Business Connect tools regularly, and the latest API expansion offers the opportunity to establish more trust with customers without major capital expenditures.

The first new addition is the option to display your business logo when customers use their iPhones for tap-to-pay. This will replace the standard category icon that appears, reassuring customers that they’re paying a trusted and verified business.

The new platform’s integration also gives businesses the option to use Branded Mail. This feature allows your business name and logo to appear on emails. This will help your messages stand out in the Mail app when they land in users’ inboxes and increase your open rates.

Suppose you sign up for these expanded Business Connect tools. Your logo will start appearing immediately in tap-to-pay transactions. The Branded Mail will roll out later this year.

Coming Next Year: Caller ID

Do calls to your customers go straight to voicemail because they don’t recognize your number? Thanks to additional enhancements to Apple Business Connect that may be less of an issue starting next year.

Beginning in 2025, companies that sign up for Business Connect can opt to have their business name and logo pop up on the incoming call screen on iPhones. Adding these details reveals to customers that it’s a verified business call, not a spam one.

Are You Set Up With Apple Business Connect?

As Apple expands Business Connect tools, it’s worth signing up and taking advantage of the free customization tools. Using a listing management service like Yext or Uberall, you can manage your profile using their tools. Otherwise, you can access the cloud services via any device.
